How we work

Plain English at every step, from the first call to launch.

  1. Idea

    Scope

Who it's for, the one job v1 must do, and what can wait, written down in plain English.

  2. Idea

    Design

You click through the main flow before anyone writes code.

  3. In build

    Build

In your GitHub from day one. AI drafts, and a named engineer reviews every change.

  4. Live

    Launch

On the web, the App Store, or Google Play, in accounts you own.

  5. Live

    Grow

Keep building with us, or hand it to your own team. Nothing is locked to us.

What you can count on

How we work with every client, whatever we build.

Your code, your accounts.

Code lives in your GitHub from day one, and cloud and app store accounts are in your name. IP is assigned to you as each invoice is paid.

  • CodeYour GitHub, from day one
  • Cloud and app storesYour accounts
  • IPYours as each invoice is paid

The founders on every call.

The founders lead your project and review every change. There's no account manager in between.

Around your working day.

Our team is in India. We set call times around your working day, wherever you are, and questions go in a shared Slack channel.

Straight answers.

If an idea is risky or won't work, you hear it from us before we start, not on launch day.

Estimates in writing.

A ballpark on the call, then a written estimate once we both understand the scope.

AI drafts. Engineers review.

A named engineer reviews every change before it ships, and faster work doesn't raise your bill.

What does BYD Tech do?

BYD Tech is a software studio. We build MVPs, AI agents, web apps, mobile apps, product designs, and websites for startup founders and growing businesses. See what we build.

Who do you work with?

Startup founders, technical or not, and growing businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets or off-the-shelf tools. If we're not the right fit, the intro call is where we'll say so.

What happens after the intro call?

If it's a fit, we start with scoping: who it's for, the one job v1 must do, and what can wait. Scoping ends with a clickable flow, a written plan, and an estimate for each phase, and you keep all of it either way.

How much does it cost?

It depends on scope, which is why there are no prices on this site. On the call, you get a ballpark range. After scoping, you get a written estimate for each phase. We price by the project or the week, never by the hour.

How long does a project take?

It depends on what the first version has to do. The biggest factors are the number of user types, payments and integrations, and how fast decisions come back. You get a written plan after scoping, before any build work starts.

Who owns the code?

You do. It lives in your GitHub from day one, and IP is assigned to you as each invoice is paid.

How do you use AI?

AI drafts and a named engineer reviews every change before it ships. We price by the project or the week, so faster work does not raise your bill.

Where is your team, and when can we talk?

Our team is in India. We set call times around your working day, wherever you are, and questions go in a shared Slack channel.

Tell us what you're building.

A few lines are enough to start, and nothing here commits you to anything.

  1. Tell us what you’re building.Who it’s for, what it needs to do, and any deadline you’re working to.
  2. A founder reads it.You get a reply by email, usually with a couple of questions.
  3. We talk for 30 minutes. You leave with a ballpark range, and a straight answer if we’re not the right fit.
